I do miss the exploring though. Unlike North Carolina's big city Atlanta just feels like it has a pulse to it, like you are in the middle of something that's really alive and not just some place you go to make some sort of transaction. So I'm kind of missing that hey what's down the street or hey I wonder what the gimmick is for that pan handler. The geek/nerd set also tend to be more interesting and open to the natural ways of Kenders than the "normal" people are so kind of missing that interaction.
On the other hand I'm really enjoying the peace and quite. It's already shaping up to be a good weekend to get my Buddhist head back on straight now that I don't have no TV and slow internet making a very grumpy short tempered person. Even with the extra day off this weekend I think I'm going to stay close to home to enjoy the joys of nothing instead of rushing around to hunt for toys and such. I'm also doing a really good job of forgetting the less than pleasant things about the big con so I should be good and ready to face things again next year. Although it would be nice if Dragon and Atlanta could come to the realization that the con is big so stop acting like it's still just role players and Trekkies.
Off to enjoy more TV even if it isn't Dragon Con TV.
